Step 1 of 5 on the chain

Signal loss

The umbrella term for measurement getting harder: third-party cookie restrictions, shortened browser storage lifetimes, consent refusals, and platform privacy changes, all reducing the share of activity that can be observed and attributed.

Why it matters

It is the reason first-party data and offline conversion import stopped being advanced techniques and became the baseline. What used to be visible in the browser now has to be carried deliberately.

What goes wrong

The phrase is used loosely enough to be a sales tool, so it is worth being specific about which loss you actually have. Missing click identifiers, unconsented traffic and expired storage are three different problems with three different fixes, and a vendor selling a cure for all three at once is usually selling one of them.

Measure this on your own data

The diagnostic reads a CRM export in your browser and reports your volume, your match rate and the spread between your leads against the thresholds in this glossary. Nothing is uploaded and no account is needed.

See what your own leads are worth

Read your closed deals and find out whether your lead values actually vary, and by how much. Nothing is stored, and your file is read in your browser.
